Abstract

Język ukraiński, zdaniem autorki artykułu, wywarł pewien wpływ na antroponimię polską. Uwidacznia się on m.in. w fakcie występowania licznych polskich nazwisk zawierających elementy wschodniosłowiańskie (przeważnie pochodzenia ukraińskiego), poświadczone w katolickich księgach metrykalnych z terenu Galicji. Autorka stwierdza, iż szczegółowa analiza polskich antroponimów z Drohobycza z końca XVIII – początku XIX wieku stanowi ważny, lecz słabo zbadany element szerszego zjawiska językowej interferencji polsko-ukraińskiej.

Summary

EAST SLAVIC PHONETIC INFLUENCES AND BORROWINGS IN THE POLISH

Adding to the lexical structure of Polish language, affecting its phonetics and morphology, Ukrainian language has left its distinct mark in the formation of Polish anthroponymy. This is evident in the large number of Polish surnames with East Slavic (predominantly Ukrainian) elements recorded in the Roman Catholic parish register of the Galician region. Identification of phenomenon of phonetic interference in Polish anthroponymy of Drohobych, analysis of phonetic inf luences of Ukrainian language on the formation of Polish surnames in Drohobych at the end of XVIII and beginning of XIX centuries is an important, interesting and hitherto little studied linguistic problem that are discussed in this article.
