Worsening social vulnerability is independently associated with increased rate of ICU admission in pregnancy

Abstract

Given the paucity of data relating social determinants of health and obstetrical critical care admissions, we sought to evaluate the association between social deprivation indices (SDI) and risk for obstetrical ICU admission. We hypothesized that there is an independent association between social vulnerability and obstetrical ICU admission.
