Abstract

AbstractWe describe two patients with parkinsonism and depressive symptoms who experienced a worsening of their motor disturbances following use of fluvoxamine, a serotonin selective reuptake inhibitor. The possible role of this drug in causing these adverse effects is discussed in the light of the complex serotonin‐dopamine interactions in the brain.
