Abstract

The third edition of this useful bibliographic tool lists in alphabetic sequence, the titles of 5,800 world periodicals in the areas of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and hospital administration. Over 1,000 titles have been added since the last edition was published in 1957. Address of publisher, title changes, language(s), as well as frequency of issue are indicated. The title abbreviations in World Medical Periodicals , with minor changes, formed the basis for abbreviations used in the Index Medicus .
