Abstract
The workshop will introduce participants to the main concepts of sexoanalysis. Sexoanalysis is a theoretical and clinical approach to human sexuality. Developed in the seventies by Claude Crépault at the Department of Sexuality of Montreal, Canada is now rapidly spreading to all over Europe. Main issues concern the individual sexual development and the role of gender identity and relationship with the other sex in the erotic process. Other sexoanalytical topics are the multiple faces and aspects of human eroticism, the dualism between fusional and antifusional eroticism, masculinity and femininity as well as the role of aggressiveness and seduction in sexuality. The study of sexual imaginary and sexual fantasies and dreams has special attention in sexoanalysis. Sexual fantasies and imagination are also observed in their relation of continuity or discontinuity with the sexual behavior. Sexual disturbances (sexual dysfunctions, gender identity problems, intersexual disphories, love disorders) are not considered as isolated sexual symptoms but on the broader context of the individual sexual structure and his sexual specificity.
