Abstract

Men and women are born same in the eyes of law, but in the present world, people have forgotten the fact that these two sexes are created to maintain the balance in the wheel of life. Both of them are supposed to enjoy equal participation in all the opportunities but it could not be carried on as women are posed to be inferior to men. The imbalance in power structure leads to unfavorable situation. Sometimes people in authority misuse their power to harass women and the dimension of harassment is getting wider. women are wonderful and play important roles in our life. She is a responsible homemaker and a soft hearted hard worker but women are not firmly resolute in their attitude and they succumb easily. Due to this quality, women are subjugated to harassment more often than men at workplace. physical harassment is generally termed as harassment but Harassment comes in a number of forms like physical, sexual,mental,personal,etc. This paper deals with procedure of handling complains about harassment at workplace and a study has been conducted to know the opinion of women on harassment and their will to convey their grievances related to harassment. An attempt is made to study the impact on their productivity which can be an important aspect leading to satisfaction. This paper will also provide an overview on the basis of the data collected during the research phase about the fact that their sex has landed them into the pool of being victim which is affecting not only their efficiency but also putting pressure on their mental health.
