Abstract
Psychological harassment in the workplace is a hot topic in Japan. According to statistics from the Japanese Labour Administration, workplace harassment is one of the most frequent grounds for complaints to Departmental Labour Offices (72,067 cases for 2017, i.e.,23.6% of all complaints). Furthermore, the number of deaths in 2017 due to workplace accidents in the private sector came to 978, out of a total of 58.19 million employees.
