Abstract

Sexual offending is a serious social problem. Although treatment programs for identified offenders have been developed and widely implemented, little is known about the most effective methods of change. It is proposed that the standard cognitive-behavioural programs could be improved by providing extensive opportunities for offenders to practise disengaging deviant sexual schema.
