Working Paper Containing Excerpts of My Leading Upcoming Book Titled ‘A Historical Mapping of Expression of Love and Death in William Shakespeare Elizabethan Era by Thileni Rasadarie D. Wickramaratne’

Abstract

In this Working Paper containing excerpts of my upcoming book I argue that the historical background that forms the setting for William Shakespeare's plays is what influenced the themes of true love, war and death. I argue that loyalty to Empire is a theme that William Shakespeare pays allegiance to and Shakespeare is critical of love that betrays this loyalty in politics.
