Abstract

To the Editor: With an increasing demand for dermatologic services and the geographic maldistribution of dermatologists, nonphysician clinicians (NPCs), including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, have played an increasing role in the delivery of dermatologic care.1 However, there has been limited research characterizing the NPC workforce in dermatology.2 We sought to describe the overall volume, demographics, and practice affiliations of the NPC workforce in the United States.
