Abstract

As you saw in the previous chapter, WF provides standard activities that allow you to expose a workflow as a web service. A workflow can also act as the consumer of web services. With the .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft has provided additional components to integrate workflows with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). The result of this integration is called workflow services. Using a new set of standard activities, a new service host for the workflow runtime, and a new set of WCF bindings, you can now expose a workflow as a WCF service or directly consume WCF services from within a workflow.KeywordsService OperationInventory ServiceClient ApplicationService ContractService HostThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
