Abstract
This paper proposes a decision approach for worker evaluation using Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The main purpose of worker evaluation is to select, promote and develop the most highly qualified workers for decision-makers. In this paper, an illustration for worker evaluation is presented. It exemplifies the combination of the FCE and the AHP for appraising workers. The author propose that while the FCE is used to evaluate workers, the weight vector of the factors is obtained by the AHP rather than is only given by experts according to their subjective experience. Thus, the disadvantages of the subjective judgment of the experts can be reduced. Among other things, the different application situations of the AHP and FCE for worker evaluation are put forward. Therefore, it is conducive to obtain more reliable and reasonable evaluation results, provide the support for related decision-making activities.
