Abstract
The author, guest editor of this section of the Journal, in this overview of worker conflicts in the health field, briefly discusses the six papers that follow, and attempts to place into perspective the handling of conflicts with highly professionalized workers such as physicians, as contrasted with the handling of conflicts with health workers who are not professionalized, the semiskilled and unskilled.
