Work for the Common Good

Abstract

Estephan Salameh is called to public service, including mid-level, nongovernmental projects, government responsibilities, and grassroots work. The first dialogue occurred soon after the 2014 Israeli-Hamas war ended, while he was no longer working for the Palestinian Authority, and while he was teaching at Birzeit University. The second dialogue occurred in 2018, after Salameh resigned as a senior advisor to the Palestinian prime minister. In 2019, the current prime minister asked Salameh to serve as the senior advisor for planning and aid coordination. For Salameh, all these efforts are “for the common good.”
