Abstract
Frank Bidart’s most recent book, Half-light: Collected Poems 1965-2016 (Farrar, Straus & Giroux) won the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. A poem he wrote in 1975, ‘Ellen West,’ provides the libretto for Ricky Ian Gordon'’s recent opera, Ellen West.
