Abstract

In the feminist movement, many misconceptions may be weakening the movement. For example, women's perception of power is constantly being compared to men's capacities in previous centuries, possibly creating a feeling of resentment of earlier privileges. In contemporary times, it is undefined which is the barrier to feminism. This blockage has impeded the movement from flourishing and finally fulfilling its goals, considering it is an enduring movement. In addition, the role of men is still problematic and undetermined, as they may be regarded as part of the barrier to be defeated rather than a gender that will need to find a consensus for a healthy coexistence. Following these three problematics used as variables, the present investigation will follow a mixed approach and a correlational scope to interview 100 women from different regions to provide a possible association among the main variables. Then, the statistical software SPSS will be employed to propose an association between the yield of power, the existence of a barrier in the struggle, and how and to which extent men can help in feminism. As part of the research results, there was a correlation among the three variables, supported by the literature review, providing a discussion regarding women's perception of these critical subjects.
