Abstract

Women's health and disease management are currently two of the highest profile movements in health care. Despite the increased focus on each of these movements independently, however, there has been little discussion of their commonalities. To most health-care industry observers, these two movements are distinct, unrelated phenomena, yet women's health and disease management have striking similarities. A discussion of these similarities is timely now that disease management methodologies are being applied to women's health practices.
