Abstract
This study examines how women’s potentials can be harnessed through empowerment programmes for an all-inclusive rural development in Nigeria. A sample of 660 women was drawn from Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. The study adopted a multi-stage sampling technique. Findings revealed that empowerment is one of the most guaranteed ways to harness women’s potentials for an all-inclusive rural development in Nigeria. Therefore, the study recommends that policymakers formulate all-inclusive and participatory policies to allow women better access to and utilise all the available empowerment programmes to develop self and society.
