Abstract

From the way women asylum seekers are treated throughout the process (access to information in relation to their legal rights, accommodation, social support, etc.) to the way their claims are dealt with by the Home Office, the experience of women asylum seekers in the UK is very often a negative one with little chance of protection. The examples below, drawn from RWRP's own experience, demonstrate some of the obstacles women asylum seekers face when the Home Office makes a decision on their claims.
