Abstract
The adaptive transmission mode selection (ATMS) scheme increases the spectrum efficiency and the flexibility of radio resource management for the distributed wireless communication systems (DWCS). In this paper, different optimal regions are planned for the adaptively selected transmission modes, based on the received signal to noise ratio (SNR) from each access point (AP) and the required quality-of-service (QoS) of the mobile stations (MS).
