Abstract
This research dealt with the subject of guarantees of witness protection from retaliation in criminal cases in the Jordanian criminal law and the international efforts that were made to protect witnesses from retaliation in criminal cases. The researcher used the descriptive approach to study Jordanian legislation related to the subject of penalties and witnesses. The researcher concluded that the protection of witnesses in Jordanian legislation is limited to witnesses of corruption cases. This is evident in Article 32 of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission Law, which has established legal safeguards protecting witnesses of corruption cases. In addition, the Jordanian Penal Code and the Jordanian Code of Criminal Procedure contained no guarantees regarding the protection of witnesses from retaliation in criminal cases. It has also been noted that many countries such as America and France have taken an interest in the issue of witness protection in criminal cases and organized crimes.
