Abstract
Abstract This paper proposes a system that can be installed on a shopping cart that be used to assist visually impaired people. This method uses the concept of ROI, text localization and recognition by optical character recognition software and a webcam controlled by Raspberry Pi. Two micro controllers are used to program both the shopping cart movement and OCR. The user is required to give a voice input of the required product and the ROBOKART guides the user to that product.
