Abstract

In this study we have predominately presented the most eligible and convenient method for detecting oral cancer. This research paper has identified that employing the methodology of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to be the most effective method in the identification of the oral cancer due to its high resolution and other distinct features of this. This research paper has gone through various techniques employed in the field of oral cancer and also collected the samples of different outputs obtained by various methods. After all the collection and classification processes, the most suitable method has been identified taking all the factors into account. The drawbacks of the optical coherence tomography have been also addressed here. New Methods are also suggested that increase the effectiveness and the capability of the OCT method. This research was also able to provide the images of the oral mucosa region. Therefore this research paper proposes that Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) with the proposed improvements is a very promising tool which can be employed in all the cases of the oral cancer and serves the much needed purpose of early detection of the cancer at any determined depths. Many improvement techniques for the OCT have also been taken into account with which its efficiency and the capacity can be increased for about twice of the prevailing OCT. Thus this paper discusses the oral cancer, its effect, and the methods prevailing OCT. Thus this paper discusses oral cancer its effects, the methods prevailing, the most efficient method and also adds some points which focus on the improvement of the prevailing efficient method.
