Abstract

This paper aims to design and analyze a quad bike frame using the ANSYS to achieve the factor of safety (FOS) of the vehicle with less weight and high strength as per the desired values obtained by the calculations. Aspects considered in the vehicle design are safety, durability, weight, performance and cost. The frame has been modified and optimized using iterative methods using softwares like Solidworks and Ansys Analysis values are compared with theoretical values to obtain the optimum design. The material of the frame was chosen based on the desired aspects. The general rules of the frame were followed while designing the frame and the information about each system performance was ensured by calculations and analysis.
