Abstract
Public transport contributes a predominant role in economic prosperity of a country. The main purpose of this system is to overcome the problems faced by traditional ticketing system and to increase the use of digital currency. In this proposed methodology, RFID is used to identify a passenger and money deduction will be done based on the distance that has been travelled by any passenger. GPS has been deployed in this ticketing system to identify the initial and destination location. Ticket fare is issued based on the GPS information. After debiting the money from wallet, the passenger gets a confirmation message with the help of GSM modem.
