Abstract

The National War Emergency Poultry Federation, organized for the period of the war, has very definitely contributed to the protection and development of our poultry industry during the period of emergency. Faithful to their original aims and pledges and proud to have contributed something constructive in a period of world destruction, the officials and responsible committees of the Federation are closing the affairs of the organization and are herewith rendering the following very brief report showing the activities and accomplishments of this war emergency effort.The National War Emergency Poultry Federation had its inception in a national poultry conference held at Chicago, Illinois, March 29th and 30th, 1918. This conference appointed certain committees with power to draft a tentative plan for a federation of all the poultry interests and allied industries of our nation.
