Abstract

AbstractA lethal witches'broom disease of buckthorn (Rhamunus catharticus) has been observed in south‐western Germany. The disease is associated with the presence of a distinct phytoplasma that is most closely related to the phytoplasmas of the apple proliferation cluster. However, the agent can clearly be distinguished from the other cluster members.
