Abstract
Time flies fast, and another year passed. This has not been an easy period for everyone due to the pandemic and lack of contacts that are essential for our Society. However, I would like to sincerely thank Prof. Terry Martin for his full dedication in leading the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) for the past two years during this particularly difficult time. Thanks to him, the IES has been kept in great shape by developing journals, organizing conference activities, and increasing a significant number of memberships. Working with Prof. Martin over the last two years as IES president-elect has been an honor.
