Abstract

This article aims to describe wisdom etic in the dedactic of budi pekerti luhur on Javanese believe (vivify). The description is provided using ethnographic analytic on the actualization of budi pekerti luhur on Javanese believe. The data collection was held by taking participant observation and indepth interview with the informant using snowballing method. The study shows that budi pekerti luhur on Javanese believe can be categorized into two matters: The first, wisdom etic in congregation level i.c. life that always attitude of: (1) pasrah, submit to God totally (sumarah), and (2) the honest and sincere. The second, help mutual. This wisdom etic as actualization of concept tapa ngrame. Tapa ngrame conducted by sepi ing pamrih spirit than as shape of world view on memayu hayuning bawana. This way vivify believe that their the next time life can achievement of the desired high level on manunggaling kawula-Gusti.

Pendahuluan

Kajian etika kebijaksanaan yang terkait dengan budi luhur memang telah ada, namun belum begitu lengkap. Ketiga penelitian ini cenderung ke arah pengungkapan budi luhur dalam teks, dan belum sampai menyentuh lebih jauh tentang ajaran penghayat kepercayaan kejawen. Paling tidak melalui tiga penelitian itu, pembaca akan diajak memahami etika Jawa melalui dua aspek, yaitu ungkapan tradisional dan lagu dolanan anak. Penggalian nilai budi luhur dalam ajaran penghayat kepercayaan akan memberikan andil yang dapat memperkaya khasanah pengetahuan tentang etika kebijaksanaan Jawa. Budi luhur yang menjadi pandangan hidup penghayat kepercayaan kejawen diaktualisasikan dalam bentuk norma atau etika agar seseorang dapat bertindak mulia. Melalui pengungkapan etika kebijaksanaan Jawa dalam ajaran budi luhur penghayat kepercayaan kejawen, paling tidak akan ditemukan seberapa jauh ajaran tersebut memiliki sumbangan penting bagi pengembangan norma kehidupan. Hal ini dirasa penting sebab etika kebijaksanaan Jawa akan memberikan ramburambu etik agar tindakan seseorang dalam keluarga, sekolah, masyarakat, dan negara sesuai dengan norma yang baik.
