Abstract

This paper presents the developments on the measurement of field quantities of brushless synchronous machines. The work consisted in the development of a wireless measurement system using Bluetooth communication, which could be installed into the machine rotor, to obtain current and voltage data values of the field winding. The system was submitted to mechanical tests, frequency response tests and, finally, measurements of the synchronous machine operating in steady and transient states were done using the wireless system. The data was analyzed and presented great consistency, which proved the functionality and viability of the device.
