Abstract

In this paper, a model of Strongly Coupled Magnetic Resonator (SCMR) in terms of Split Ring Resonator (SRR) elements is presented. By adding SRR cells, which can be considered as tank resonators between source and load, we achieve high wireless powering efficiency of 90% at 85MHz. Additionally, methods to tune the operating frequency by changing the SRR structure parameters are discussed. Compared with the previous work on SCMR, our method has simpler structure and it is easier to shift the frequency with high transmission efficiency.
