Abstract

When multi-media information, which includes speech, image and data, are transmitted, the difference in information rate, required quality as well as traffic performance should be taken into account. In this paper, we propose a wireless multimedia CDMA system based on control of both transmission power and transmission packet length using channel measurement information such as traffic. For the proposed method, we derive the optimal transmission packet length and transmission power of each medium by using nonlinear programming. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method can satisfy the required quality.
