Abstract

Spark chambers with crossed wire-planes and ferrite core memories have been constructed and used in an electron-nucleon-scattering experiment at DESY. Modules containing 256 cores are connected to the grounded and high voltage wire-planes. The input and output signals of the coreboards are directly compatible with monolithic integrated circuits. Spark chamber characteristics have been measured. Spatial resolution for a wire spacing of 1 mm is ± 0.20 mm and ± 0.28 mm fwhm at the grounded and the high voltage electrode respectively.
