Abstract

Tungsten wire arrays with height-profiled masses, which are obtained by the cathode sputtering, are described. The images of wires are recorded and their diameter is determined using a scanning electron microscope. The wire arrays have such a linear mass height distribution, at which the compact three-dimensional spherically-symmetric compression due to the current implosion is possible.
