Abstract
The aim of this paper is to report on the results of a special ship-based survey of wintering seabirds in Lithuanian offshore waters on March 7-8, 1999. It is the most detailed seabird survey performed in Lithuanian offshore waters since the first expedition carried out by Danish ornithologists from Ornis Consult company in the winters 1991/92 and 1992/93. The survey was carried out within the Baltic Sea Project of Eastern European Fund and direct cooperation between the Danish and Lithuanian Ornithological Societies.
