Abstract

Winners! provides product design case studies of 49 European Design Prize. The book begins by setting companies who were finalists in the 1997 the scene for the use of design as we approach the 21st century: new drivers of innovation are outlined. The product design case studies are developed with the aid of excellent visuals. They represent an excellent survey of the growing areas in product design in Europe, and there are outlines of some of Europe's most successful small and medium sized enterprises, highlighting how these SMEs effectively use design to compete in the marketplace.
