Abstract
This paper describes some points of wind characteristics in the engineering field and some feature of wind data obtained in routine work at each meteorological station. The characteristics of high winds in the boundary layer are examined by using the data from 213 m meteorological observation tower at Tsukuba Science City. The time and spatial variations of mean, variance, auto-correlation of wind components, and cross correlation between two wind components and power spectra of winds are discussed in this paper.
