Abstract

At the upper and lower limits, adds the hysteretic characteristics to the threshold voltages of the window voltage comparator. The value of upper or lower center of the hysteresis voltage equals to the value of corresponding reference voltage approximately. Hysteresis voltage can be adjusted by changing the value of corresponding resistance. The AC voltage limiter, which is designed based on LM339, a voltage comparator, also has hysteretic Characteristics. Thus, it eliminates the frequent power-off protection issues caused by the fluctuations of the input AC voltage near the upper or lower voltage limit. When the input AC voltage is too high or too low, the limiter performs a power protection for electrical equipment stably and reliably.
