Abstract
Statistical priority-based Multiple Access protocol (SPMA) is the latest MAC layer protocol in high speed aviation network technology, which can be applied to high speed aviation mobile network well. In this paper, We proposed an improved backoff algorithm based on SPMA protocol, which changes the competition interval of SPMA backoff algorithm from fixed to dynamic adjustment. In this paper, we derive the network delay using the improved algorithm. Finally, we conduct simulation verification in Opnet. The results show that the improved algorithm has excellent performance in high, medium and low traffic load, especially in high traffic load, ensuring the successful transmission rate of data frames with the highest priority.
