Abstract

Pedestrian level wind flow near tall buildings or large building complexes is a very complex aerodynamic problem which may be assessed at present only by wind tunnel experiments. Two typical examples of entrance areas with very unsatisfactory pedestrian comfort are described. Based on wind tunnel studies, typical solutions are presented to improve the pedestrian comfort.
