Abstract

Full-scale deflection measurements were performed on a 67 m steel frame tower and a 233 m steel truss tower under wind loading. Measurements were acquired by various means and compared with along-wind theoretical estimates. The latter were obtained using a simplified frequency domain prediction that incorporates some practical observations and remarks. The dynamic cross-wind response of lattice towers was also measured and discussed.
