Abstract

In this paper a Wind Energy Conversion System based on Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) with a three-phase series active filter without additional transformer is proposed. The series active filter acts to eliminate the distortions of the grid voltages in the stator windings of the DFIG. The proposed system operates with single dc-link. The control system regulates the circulating current between the Grid Side Converter and the series active filter. Simulation and experimental results are presented to evaluate the proposed system with series active filter.
