Abstract
In 1979, Evan M. Wilson, former head of the Palestine desk at the State Department (1942-8), published a book based on his own 'firsthand experience, amplified by five years of research at archives in Washington, DC, New York, Jerusalem, London and Oxford, as well as at the Roosevelt and Truman Libraries'. In it, Wilson claimed that there had been nc Arab parallel to the Zionist lobby on Palestine:
