Abstract
Objectives Identifier mapping Our goal is to make Wikidata the canonical resource for referencing and translating biomedical identifiers. External references are retrieved from authoritative resources and added to Wikidata as statements. Community curation By leveraging a large community, Wikidata provides a platform for community curation. By adding authorative resources on genes, diseases, and drugs, curators from these resources gain an additional source of human computation in curating their content. Model biomedical interactions in a property model In Wikidata statements items are linked through properties. To be able to capture drug-disease, disease-gene, and drug-gene links a set of Wikidata properties are required. Integrate linked data through the Wikidata API Wikidata comes with a API that allows XML dumps of its content. This enable data integration and consumption in external apps.
