Abstract

Collaborative tools help organizations to use information and knowledge in order to achieve competitive advantage through information management and knowledge. This study aims to identify the criteria that lead organizations to choose and use the collaborative tools of Web 2.0, particularly wikis. The theoretical framework used in the light of technical literature, lies in the concepts relating to the management of information and knowledge, knowledge workers, collaboration and cooperation, collaboration tools of Web 2.0, wikis in particular. Through the technique of case study, we evaluated a company that has deployed and use wikis. There was a semistructured interview with the person responsible for implementation of the wiki. The study demonstrated the positive and negative aspects in the implementation of wikis.
