Abstract

A microwave photonic scheme for analog radio frequency (RF) interference cancellation is proposed based on counter-phase cancellation. In the proposed system, only the parameters of a laser source are adjusted to achieve incoherent optical subtraction, which has a compact structure with stable operation. The proposed system is verified by a proof-of-concept experiment in which 65- and 40-dB interference cancellations are obtained for single-frequency and wideband signals, respectively.
