Abstract

In this paper, a novel wideband circularly-polarized patch antenna is presented. The patch antenna is excited by a broadband feed network having a 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 86% and a consistent 90/spl deg/ (/spl plusmn/ 3/spl deg/) phase difference between two output ports over a wideband of 76%. It is found that the antenna can deliver a measured impedance bandwidth of 79.4% for SWR 3dBi.
