Abstract
Research by Help the Aged reveals the NHS is institutionally ageist. The Government will attempt to address this with legislation in the Equality Bill, but currently the regulations covering health and social care will not be included. Michelle Mitchell from Age Concern and Help the Aged, argues why this needs to be addressed.
