Abstract

Individually at one point in your lives you all likely to change environment, if not for work purposes, could be for vacation, or adventures. There are many factors that usually prompt migration, while some are voluntary either through human drive for change of environment in a bid to seek for greener pastures, trade and business opportunity, medical, educational. Some are involuntary either because of natural disaster in home country, war, economic crisis, political reason est. Migration of people is a right recognized internationally. United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights emphasizes the right to migrate as important and undeniable, although citizens are usually free to leave their country to another country, their freedom still seems restricted. there has been effort to regulate migration of people at the multilateral level, this paper identifies some reasons why migration governance has fails at the multilateral level.
