Abstract

This Chapter Deals with the Monstrosity Contained in the Instability of the killer’s gender in horror films. Its purpose is to question the gender politics of slasher (and of horror film in general) by investigating: (1) the connection of the monstrous with sexual difference, especially homosexuality; (2) the role of “The Final Girl” in slasher films; and (3) the connection between The Final Girl and the “Monster” (i.e., the Slasher).
